Happy 9 Months to you, Kyle! Yes, that's right, time for another Mommy entry. Every few months I have to talk about what a big boy Kyle is getting. And it's so true. Not only are the "tasks" he's doing so much more advanced, but I can even see his body changing. It's
definitely lengthening out to slowly become a little toddler body as opposed to the chubby baby body he's had. In fact, at this doctor's visit his wt % was actually less than his ht%. Crazy!
I love every minute of watching him change, but I have to admit a little sad to see him grow so fast. Luckily, I am able to stay home with him 5 days a week, so I hardly miss anything. Like everyone says - nothing is better than motherhood! The following are a few things I'd like to remember about what he's doing at 9 months:
- He is crawling around everywhere, and I mean everywhere. He used to stay in the same room as me, not anymore - he is an explorer.
- He understands the word "No", but gives the biggest, cutest darn smile in hopes that you'll cave so he can get what he wants, usually some type of wire. So hard not to smile back.
- He breaths so fast, almost like a panting dog when he is chasing the cats. And of course has a great big smile plastered on.
- He has the glimpse of his very first tooth! (I'll post a picture once it comes in more and actually shows up on pics.)
- He now can stand up all by himself! (Course, he has to be holding a toy.) Otherwise, he'll get down to find one.
- He has discovered the game Chase. He'll crawl away and either Daddy or I will have to chase after him crawling ourselves. Kyle just laughs and laughs and loves getting caught!
- He holds his arm up with hand outstretched when he sees something he really likes. (See the fireworks picture on last post.)
- My favorite is when Daddy gets home from work, Kyle has the biggest smile ever on his face and I can barely contain him in my arms while Daddy is coming in the door. Once Daddy is in, Kyle goes right into Daddy's arms. It's the sweetest thing. One of those special moments of parenthood.
Here Kyle is being a nut!
Kyle sits like this a lot, aren't those little feet so precious!
He really likes playing with his
Choo Choo Train.
It didn't take Kyle long to figure out how to get money out of Mommy's wallet. :)
And here he is, my standing boy!
